Welcome!

- Rev. David Robinson
Thanks for your interest in our congregation. My name is Dave Robinson and I am the Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. My family and I moved to Dryden from Simsbury, Connecticut in 1986. Upon arrival, we were met with many expressions of love and care from the people of the congregation. We soon found that this was not just a gesture toward "the new pastor", but an example of the caring and commitment of the members which extends as well to others beyond our Church.
Our membership includes retired people, young couples with small children, single and two-parent families, single adults, and children of all ages. In recent membership classes there were many who last attended other churches including United Methodist, Catholic, American Baptist, Congregational, Lutheran, and Reformed. We are comfortable with this diversity and feel it is an asset to our Church.
Unity in the midst of diversity comes from faith expressed in love. Not that I or any in the congregation are perfect. We do however, strive to reflect the life of our Lord, Jesus Christ by supporting one another and caring for those outside our Church in many different ways. Through this combination of giving and receiving love, many have experienced a sense of joy and satisfaction that we have not found anywhere else in life.
You are welcome to attend services and Sunday School classes without obligation. When membership classes are held, all who want to learn more about the Presbyterian Church (USA), or to join, are invited to attend. If you need more information, or if I can answer any questions, please call 607/844-8321 or email me at david(at)drydenpres.org.
Yours in Christ, Rev. David C. Robinson
